Experience

Our next journey is to Baltimore, Maryland. Baltimore is the largest city in Maryland and the largest independent city in the United States of America. The city is located in the central part of the state, near the Patapsco River.

This city has gone through war, it produced incredible writers such as Edgar Allan Poe, H.L. Mencken, jazz musicians and even singers. Baltimore is also known for being a healthcare and science center. Recently, the city has been called Charm City.

If you want a 3 sided view, an incredible bed, spacious and bright rooms with all the equipment you need, I say you go to Four Seasons in Baltimore. The location is absolutely perfect. You have restaurants and bars surrounding you, an exquisite view towards the harbor. The rooms are not crowded, you will always have your room equipped with fresh fruits , water, towels. From your check it until your check out, the staff is concerned about your comfort . They are friendly, helpful, professional and charming.

Baltimore has a diversity of points of attractions. It manages to balance quite nicely the museums, churches, theatres, parks . The National Aquarium in Baltimore is in the walking distance from Four Seasons and it’s definitely one of those place worth checking out. Another place that is near Four Seasons is the Science Center , located in the Inner-Harbor. Your kids will be fascinated about this place and you too. They even have SciLab, where visitors become scientists.

Since Baltimore is known for its art, I suggest you check out the Walters Art Museum because they have pre-dynastic Egypt to 20th-century Europe and Greek sculptures. They dispose of Art Nouveau jewelry and 19th-century European and American masterpieces. This museum is one of the most famous museums.

Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was the first Roman Catholic cathedral built in the United States and one of the major religious buildings built in the nation . Also, you must not miss Edgar Allan Poe’s house and at night the Emerson Bromo-Seltzer Tower which looks lovely at night time.

Baltimore offers you a diversity of restaurants all over the place. I had a delicious piece of pork meat with vegetables at Roy’s Baltimore and continued with the dessert . A fabulous chocolate soufflé with a spoon of vanilla ice-cream and raspberry topping.

The Baltimore people are one of the nicest people you will have the pleasure to meet. Ask a stranger for directions and you will see how lovely they advise you to take another route because it is shorter.
