Seattle is a coastal seaport city and the administrative center of King County, Washington. It’s also the biggest city in the Northwest Pacific. The port in Seattle is a major gateway for trades with Asia , being the 8th largest port in the United States of America.

Once you are out of the airplane all you have to do is check in at the finest hotel in Seattle, Hotel 1000, located on the 1st Avenue. It is in the walking distance of many interesting points. The room are spacious, bright and they have a great view. The bathrooms are also fully equipped and big. The guy at the front desk was really nice and thoughtful . They take care of your check in pretty quick and your luggages will be taken to your room by the service guy. The rooms are equipped with a vault, a French coffee maker that has all the instructions you may need , a desk lamp and a TV plasma.

When going to a new city, the best way to “feel” and get to know it, is by walking. This way you get to see more of the city. Seattle, like any other American city offers museums, parks, zoo, aquariums, great architecture and lovely people.

The first thing you would want to visit here, might be best to left it for later. And now I am talking about the Space Needle, the observation tower. Even though it looks great at day time, this building is a masterpiece in the night. Seeing how I am always travelling by airplane, I had a lovely time discovering other flights at the Museum of Flights. The Chihuly Garden and Glass will change your whole vision about colored glass. I never thought glass could be shaped in so many forms. It’s a wonderful place to visit. The museum of History and Industry is the perfect place to get to know the history and culture of Seattle . Until Space Needle was built, the Smith Tower , a skyscraper finished in 1914 was the tallest building in Seattle .

As I said, the Space Needle is best to be left at night. The tower has 25 lightning rods, looking absolutely lovely in the evening when the lights go on, attracting millions of visitors per year.

Someone recommended me the Altura Restaurant and it was an amazing recommendation. I opted for the 5 course menu and I enjoyed every course . The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the wine went perfectly with the food. The most impressive course was the beef steak with a few vegetables aside.

People in Seattle will recommend a new place that you might want to visit, a restaurant that they love. So do not hesitate. Stop someone on the street and experience the full charm of Seattle.
