The Indian peninsula hosts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In addition, the beaches offer a unique perspective into the life of the communities that reside by the sea.

Today, we visit the sandy shores hosted by Goa on the Western Coast of the Indian sub-continent.

Goa’s 103 km coastline is blessed with some of the most enchanting beaches. There might be no better place in the world to be lazy than on one of Goa’s spectacular beaches. With palm-tree groves on one side of the white sands and gently lapping waves on the other, these beaches live up to the image of a tropical paradise.

These are some of the best beaches of North Goa. North Goa is home to the backpacker, party and package-tourist action, though you’ll also find plenty of solitude between the sun-tanners.

Keri beach also known as Querim beach, is a quiet beach located to the north of the Arambol beach. It is the northernmost beach of Goa that is backed with palms and casuarinas trees. This is one of the lesser-crowded beaches of Goa and is a serene and calm place to spend a beautiful holiday. The beach stretches out for about 2000 meters, with a beige coloured fine sand and there are trees and trees everywhere.

Across the riverbank one can also see the famous ancient Portuguese fort known as the Tiracol Fort. There is a ferry service available that takes you to Tiracol every 30 min, except at low tide. From the Tiracol fort the Keri beach has an exotic view.
