Tigergarh is a resort nestled on the way to the quaint village of Ranchha near Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Located near the small hamlet of Ranchha village, this stately boutique resort envelopes in it the freshness of the tropical forests all around. A visit to the Bandhavgarh accommodation exudes serenity, relaxation and it calms you with its surrounding natural beauty.

The resort architecture breathes of local flavour – a symphony of local tribal art, royal comfort and grand ambiance that which mesmerize on first look. You stay is warmed by the effervescent care taken by the resort staff.

The Waterhole – our dinning space, tickles your taste buds and 

invites you to explore the green architecture with our used bottle walls and innovative uses of worn-out tyres. The jungle feast has a vast spread of Indian, Muglai, Chinese and Continental dishes. The meals and snacks are served in number of sit outs meant for bonfire as well.

The Guffas (Hindi for Den) – our 4 exquisite A/C villas are a treat to ones creative eye. Each villa creatively designed with king-size four-post beds, large windows overlooking green expanse, huge elegant bathrooms, TVs, and lazy sit-outs with own manicured mini-gardens take you to an experience of shear luxury and relaxation.

The accommodation consists of cottages and rooms numbering twelve. The living quarters are well equipped with all modern amenities and are spread along the wide acreage of the lodge.

We have four luxurious deluxe rooms styled alike the local village and in close proximity to each other, also a family room with four beds completes our stay options. The villas commemorate the famous tigers of Bandhavgarh as they are named after the big cats.

To Keep You Busy

Jungle Safari – Visit inside the park is on 4X4 Gypsy (Suzuki Jeeps). Morning safari is from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the evening safari is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the timings may change slightly with the season. Prior booking is required so please do let us know in advance.

Nature-walks – Take a walk with our trained naturalists and spot varied avi-fauna (Bird-life). Over 250 species of birds are present in the park including the vanishing vultures.

Fort Visit – See the fort, considered to be 2500 years old, inside the park area. Many historical monuments like the sculptures of the Dash-avtara, the sculpted reclining Lord Vishnu, caves and a temple of lord Rama are worth exploring. Prior Forest Department permission is required.

Tribal Dances – Open air barbecue, bonfire and a colourful tribal dance full of exuberance

Village experience – Meet the farmers, feel the rustic life of the adjacent Ranchha village and know more about the local tribes of Madhya Pradesh.

Picnics and more – Savour the snacks from your food-tokri (basket) with wind in your hair, grass in your feet and wilderness as your sole company.

Photography workshops – Photography workshops are arranged with experienced photographers to mentor and train the novices and the experts.

Art and Heritage – Special workshops on different art forms – painting, sculpting, tribal-arts, etc are organized for the creative ones. Demonstration of Gond Art, the local art form, and sale of Gond paintings.

Bullock-cart Ride – Joy rides for kids and family on a bullock-cart

Cycling Tours – Cycles can be hired for leisure biking as well as planned biking tours can be organized.

Butterfly Watching (Lepidopterology) – Studying butterflies in and around the resort, photographing butterflies and just enjoying the fluttering beauties in our butterfly garden.

Pottery Sessions – Demonstration of pottery on our in-house potter's wheel.
